Maine Tech Week 2026: AI Takes Center Stage

Maine Tech Week returns to downtown Portland October 19–22, 2026 for its second annual gathering of Maine’s technology community. This year’s theme — Intersections — sets up a program that deliberately crosses boundaries between disciplines, sectors, and perspectives.

AI runs as a strong thread throughout the schedule. Among the sessions with an AI focus:

• “AI in the Maine Economy” — a panel of Maine employers across sectors discussing where AI is actually changing work, and where the hype outpaces reality
• “Building with AI in a Small State” — a hands-on session for developers and product builders on working with the constraints and advantages of Maine’s talent market
• “What Should Maine’s AI Policy Look Like?” — a cross-sector conversation with technologists, legislators, and nonprofit leaders

MAC will host a meetup on the evening of October 21 for members of Maine AI Techs and other MAC communities. Details to follow.
